Urunani BBC Secures Second Win in BAL 2025 Qualifiers

Urunani BBC of Burundi wins 70-61 against South Sudan’s Fox BBC, securing their second consecutive victory in the Elite 16 qualifiers for the Basketball Africa League 2025.

Urunani BBC of Burundi has claimed a decisive victory over South Sudan’s Fox BBC,
defeating them 70-61 in the ongoing Elite 16 Road to BAL 2025 qualifiers in Kenya.

The match, held earlier on Friday, marked Urunani’s second consecutive win in the
tournament. Earlier on Thursday, the Burundian team dominated Zambia’s Matero Magic
with a resounding 80-34 victory.

Urunani BBC is competing in a challenging group alongside Fox BBC (South Sudan), City
Oilers (Uganda), and Matero Magic (Zambia). Their next encounter is scheduled for Sunday,
December 1, 2024, at 3:00 PM (Burundi time), where they will face off against Uganda’s City
Oilers.

The Elite 16 qualifiers serve as a gateway to the Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2025, with
the final tournament set to take place in South Africa in April 2025. Urunani BBC’s
impressive performance so far positions them as strong contenders for the prestigious league.
